Martha Anne Singer launched EmmaKnits in 2008 after spending many years knitting baby hats for new families.  If you knew Martha Anne and were expecting a baby, it was very likely you'd find a baby hat in the mail shortly after returning from the hospital.  She found she enjoyed knitting so much she began experimenting with different designs and colors, and requests starting pouring in from families with older children and even for the adults themselves!  Custom requests come in all the time so feel free to email with a special need or idea.

"Emma" was created out of Martha Anne's initials, "MA".  She met her husband Joe in Chicago and up North people weren't used to the Southern double-name...the nickname stuck and the rest is history.  The couple live in suburban Atlanta with their three children.
